The MOGARDO story
MOGARDO is Mónica Garzón, fashion designer, pattern cutter and Fashion Craftswoman (Artesana en Moda) accredited by the Consell de Ibiza since March 2023. She designs the collections, selects the fabrics, makes the patterns and oversees all production and final making. She also handles cutting and handmaking herself, runs the boutique and welcomes clients personally every day.
The beginnings
Mónica Garzón is from Barcelona, of Andalusian descent, and came to the brand with training and experience in fashion design, pattern cutting and styling. Before MOGARDO she ran two clothing shops in Barcelona, stocking several labels alongside one of her own. That period gave her both sides of the trade: how a garment is made and how a shop is run.
Ibiza came later and stayed. Mónica spent five years working on the island in fashion and luxury retail, and those years gave her a precise reading of the customer who makes it this far, local or visitor, of how to deal with them and of what they are looking for when they buy a new piece. In March 2023 the Consell de Ibiza awarded her the title of Fashion Craftswoman.
The brand grows from that double root. Andalusia and Barcelona at the origin, Ibiza as the setting: its beginnings, its light and its nights. From there comes the essence of MOGARDO, the force of the sunset, that moment when the day meets the night.

Trajectory
During the two years before the boutique opened, MOGARDO made itself known through advertising and runway shows at various points around the island, and by keeping a showroom in Madrid from which it worked with stylists and talent.
The Ibiza craft accreditation keeps the brand in direct contact with the Consell. Under it, MOGARDO has taken part in craft fairs in Ibiza and in Milan, and receives support through grants.
The boutique in the Port of Ibiza is the next step on that path. Alongside it comes a collaboration with a five-star hotel on the island.
Shows and presence
The collections have been presented in some of the most emblematic spaces in Ibiza, among them 7 Pines and several of the island's beach clubs. MOGARDO has also taken part in Ibiza Fashion Show 2025 and 2026 and in a Fashion Week Madrid runway show at the casino on Gran Vía in Madrid.
Alongside the shows there are collaborations with stylists, fashion editorials in magazines including Men's Health, appearances on television programmes and collaborations with content creators. All of this has brought the brand to a steadily wider audience.

The boutique with Atelier
The boutique is at Carrer d'Enmig, 26, in the Port of Ibiza, one of the busiest streets for visitors. A shop with an Atelier is not simply a point of sale; it is a place of creation where the client becomes part of the process. It is currently MOGARDO’s only shop. Its inauguration took place on 31 May 2026, a few weeks after the doors first opened.
The space holds two worlds side by side. In the boutique area, a stone wall, neutral tones and warm light trained on the garments, which hang on rails and rolling racks where they can breathe, with looks put together and a central table of accessories and basics. At the back, the Atelier: the cutting table, industrial machines, fabrics, reels of thread, patterns and mannequins holding half-finished prototypes.
The client sees someone cutting a pattern or sewing, and that is what holds the whole idea together: clothes are not simply sold here, fashion is built. Against fast fashion, the Boutique Atelier offers time and respect for the craft.
The project runs all year. In summer the focus is on selling and on presenting exclusive pieces. For the rest of the year the space works as a bespoke Atelier and showroom, with capsule collections and winter garments.
How we work
The process begins with the inspiration for a new design and a first set of sketches, worked until they take on the feeling the piece is meant to carry. Then comes the choice of fabric, although sometimes it happens the other way round and the fabric is what inspires the design. With design and fabric settled, the pattern is made, and then a sample to confirm fit, drape and volume. Only then is the final fabric cut and the piece moves on to making, labels, checked finishes and pressing.
We work with high-end fabrics, mainly Italian, damasks, guipures and other artisanal cloths, along with natural fibres such as viscose and tencel. All current MOGARDO production takes place in Ibiza. Mónica Garzón carries out the entire process herself: design, pattern cutting, cutting and handmaking, through to sales at the boutique. No garments are manufactured in other countries.
Garments are made by hand and many are one of a kind. Production is managed with strict stock control to avoid surplus and reduce environmental impact. There is standard sizing for women and men, as well as the option of having a garment made to the client's measurements.

Mónica and her clients
Mónica Garzón leads the project and runs the boutique, where she welcomes clients personally. Every in-person appointment is with her, the designer.
You can request an appointment by WhatsApp or email. Mónica or Sofía handles requests sent by email. With Mónica, you will discuss your preferences and develop the design together. Once the design is agreed and your measurements taken, several fittings and any necessary alterations follow before the finished garment is ready.
